Yes, the peppery, dry-aged burger is as wonderful as everyone and their mother says it is. @eebeescornerbar in Shaw also excels at hospitality, a detail driven home by the owner, Emily Brown, in every interaction. (Cool connection: Andy Brown, behind DC’s best pie by the slice, is her cousin. And her mom, Barbara, made the space cozy with old chandeliers and family photos.) I also loved the drinks, the garlicky Caesar, the people-watching, the fact that two different parties offered me their table as they were leaving the packed-to-the-rafters hot spot. Can’t wait to return!
